Michelle De Grandmont is a bilingual registered advanced diabetic foot care nurse with over 15 years of experience in the health care sector. Michelle’s desire to share knowledge and connect with people, has directed her to several positions which include teaching at Foot Canada Training, holding the position of the Ontario Provincial Advisor for the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses and, previously, as an instructor at Algonquin College where she developed an innovative and highly successful advanced diabetic foot care program. Hi, I’m Steph, an Advanced Diabetic Foot Care Nurse at Soft Soles. I’ve been a nurse for 14 years, and my career has taken me through a wide range of clinical settings, including medical-surgical care, ICU, labor and delivery, infusion therapy, and IV sedation in a dental practice. These experiences have given me a strong clinical foundation and a deep understanding of the unique needs of patients living with diabetes.

I’m known for being empathetic, caring, and real. My goal is always to create a safe, comfortable space where people feel heard, supported, and confident in the care they receive. I completed my nursing education through Heritage College and Athabasca University, and I continue to build my skills so I can provide the highest level of foot care to every client.

Outside of work, I’m a mom of two boys and love spending time with my family and friends. I’m passionate about nutrition, traveling, gardening, and golf - interests that help keep me grounded and balanced.

Clara has been a nurse for the past 10 years, a foot care nurse for the past 9 years, and has been in health care for over 15 years. She has a great love for nursing, having worked in direct patient care with clients through Soft Soles and her role as an RPN at the Civic Hospital. Upon arriving in Canada , She first worked as import and export agent in Montreal and then ran her own restaurant in Ottawa. These positions required her to effectively communicate with clients in English, French and Mandarin.
